Dear COCSA family,

I am sending this email to you with very mixed emotions. I want to let you know that I have resigned as Executive Director of COCSA. I am going to work as an Account Manager with a medical company, allowing me to return to the interventional cardiology space in which I worked previous to joining COCSA. It is an opportunity that I feel is best for me and my family at this time.
Please know that I have thoroughly enjoyed the past eight years serving all of you and this great profession. I truly believe that we have moved COCSA forward and that there is an opportunity to take it even further to the next level. You are in very capable hands under the leadership of our president, Don Cross, and our fabulous board. I will always treasure and hope to maintain the relationship and friendships, I’ve built throughout the organization with state executive directors, doctors, educators and vendors - COCSA’s people are second to none.

Thank you all for letting me be a part of your COCSA family.

Amy Hardin

Note from COCSA President...

To our state association’s leadership,

As you may well imagine I found Amy’s resignation heart breaking. Having served on the COCSA Board since she began her work with COCSA, I have grown very attached to her as she worked diligently to grow and strengthen our organization over the last 8 years. She will be sorely missed by myself and our Board of Directors.
Let me assure you that Amy and I have been working very hard on setting up a transition team to ensure that COCSA continues to function smoothly on a day to day basis. Our Board has stepped up and are helping in numerous ways to achieve this. I have established a special task force to evaluate our management needs going forward, and based upon their recommendation, the Board will empower them to accomplish the task of installing the new management of COCSA. Speaking on behalf of the Board of Directors, we promise that the annual COCSA meeting in Puerto Rico will be another outstanding event. Please plan to join us there for an information packed event.
