 2017 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Term  11/2016 - 11/2017

Upon receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Dr. Cross moved to Tallahassee to work at Florida Baptist Children’s Home.   He worked in residential treatment centers for abused and troubled children and teens for over 10 years.   During a trip to Tallahassee in 1987, he and his wife were injured in a severe auto accident. It was during his recovery from this accident that chiropractic made its first major impact on his life.   After seeing the miraculous effects of chiropractic on his self, Dr. Cross entered Logan Chiropractic College in January, 1991.   Upon his graduating in April of 1995, he and his wife returned to Florida. After gaining experience working in two older chiropractor’s offices, he purchased a retiring doctor’s practice in Quincy, Fl. on January 1, 1997. He began solo practice while continuing to study and develop his training and treatment skills.

Dr. Cross has been very active in his profession.   He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Florida Chiropractic Association in 2000. During his 12 years of service to the FCA Board, he held all elected positions including President. Dr. Cross also began teaching his fellow chiropractic physicians continuing education courses. Dr. Cross later became involved with national chiropractic issues and made several trips to Washington to lobby for various patient’s rights issues and health care issues in general.   He was recognized for his efforts by being commissioned a Kentucky Colonel in 2005. He has also been honored with Fellowships from other national professional organizations as a result of his advanced training.   In 2008, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Congress of Chiropractic State Associations.

In the spring of 2012, after being in solo practice in Quincy for 15 years, Palmer Chiropractic College offered him a professor position at their Florida campus. In July of 2012, he started teaching the young doctors during their last year of their doctoral program. He still owns and manages the clinic in Quincy, and occasionally still sees patients.
